1620 Jones and Pearson v. Local Union 140

Case No: 1620

2009

The election results should not be disturbed. Appellants’ challenge to the general election rests primarily on the election committee’s failure to communicate clearly its procedure for validating challenged ballots prior to the voting. Although a manual inspection of the challenged ballots revealed that the local election committee had not properly secured the election materials following the election, there was no direct evidence that any challenged ballot was improperly counted or that any eligible voters were disqualified.
