About the Public Review Board
Independent oversight of UAW affairs since 1957.
The PRB was established by the International Union, UAW in 1957 under the leadership of Walter P. Reuther.
University professors in law, legal studies, business ethics and labor relations make up our four (4) current Board members - impartial individuals from outside the UAW.
They have the authority to review appeals from decisions of the International Executive Board.
Employees of the PRB are responsible for processing appeals and preparing the case records for consideration by the Board. We are available to help UAW members through the appeal process.
Since it was formed, the PRB has reviewed over 1900 appeals, giving UAW members a way to challenge decisions they believe were unjust.
